For brand manufacturers preparing to use Verified by GS1, it requires them to ensure proper GTIN structuring, unique product GTINs, and that all products use the six basic attributes. (These attributes are a unique product identifier, brand name, product description, product image, URL, global product classification, net content and unit of measure, and target market.)
Most importantly, product data must be complete and accurate.
This data is managed using the GS1 U.S. Data Hub, the Verified by GS1 central database. This database connects trading partners, allowing manufacturers to create and manage product data and retailers to programmatically access and verify PDPs.
