    Kerry Group uses Salsify’s Product Experience Management (PXM) for the bulk of its operations, leveraging Salsify Product Information Management (PIM), Workflow, and Syndication to enrich, optimize, and syndicate its product content.

    Before the launch of Salsify Intelligence Suite, the team’s processes involved a blend of automated workflows to import product data, followed by a manual validation of nutritional information.

    Although this validation step wasn’t the most difficult part of their go-to-market process, it was still time-consuming and hindered Kerry’s ability to optimize selling time.

    Bucher’s team was asked to be among the first customers to use Salsify’s new solution, Intelligence Suite, given their longstanding partnership and innovative approach to PXM.

    Intelligence Suite is an AI-powered set of intelligent task types that enable customers to harness AI within Salsify’s Workflow engine.

    “We were already heavy users of Salsify Workflow, so we were really excited to learn about the new Intelligence Suite and to see what it could unlock for us,” Bucher says.

    Bucher’s team leveraged Intelligence Suite to assist with several key use cases, including automating the creation of product titles and descriptions and injecting Kerry’s brand voice and guidelines into their product content — all within a single workflow.

    But the most significant opportunity, Bucher says, was Intelligence Suite’s ability to scrape information from images and solve the manual nutritional validation step in their process.

    “Some of our products don't have a source system for nutrition,” Bucher says. “In these cases, we acquire a PDF with that information and have a team member manually enter it into Salsify, which is time-consuming. With Intelligence Suite, we push this PDF or a photo of the packaging through a workflow and have the data populated within minutes. Our team has to spend just a few minutes reviewing the information.”

    Bucher adds that once they became familiar with Intelligence Suite and connected their Salsify instance to their AI provider, “it was a pretty seamless ‘flip of the switch’ to get going. We’re really excited to try out more use cases.”

    Adopting Salsify Intelligence Suite generated significant business results for Kerry, particularly in go-to-market.

    “We were able to turn around a product launch from scratch in one day versus two to three days,” Bucher says. “Now, instead of data input and validation, it's just a quick human validation to ensure the AI performed as expected.”
