Amazon created a new app store for professional sellers, that helps identify trusted technology vendors across a range of services. We are pleased to announce that Salsify is now available to sellers on Amazon through the just-launched Amazon Marketplace Appstore.
As Salsify CEO Jason Purcell shared in our official press release: "Being part of the Amazon Marketplace Appstore will help us bring our expertise accelerating growth and improving profitability to more companies."
This exciting announcement follows last week's news that Amazon selected Salsify to join its newly-formed Amazon Marketplace Developer Council. Through the Marketplace Developer Council, members share valuable insights and feedback on existing and prospective tools and programs to influence and shape the roadmap and priorities for Marketplace Web Service APIs and associated tools.
Amazon Marketplace allows third-party (3P) sellers to list new or used products at a price determined by that seller through Amazon Seller Central. First-party (1P) brands traditionally go-to-market on Amazon through Amazon Vendor Central. Some brands are looking at selling through Amazon Seller Central as a new way to improve their margins and take more control over their full product experience. Making the shift comes with new challenges such as building out direct-to-consumer fulfillment capabilities that still qualify for Prime. Read our recent blog post for a deep-dive look into the motivations, strategies, and changes that are impacting brands on Amazon.
