Boston, MA – November 16, 2018 – Salsify has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the 11th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. This latest award is the seventh top place to work list to recognize Salsify in 2018, and the second consecutive year the company has placed on The Boston Globe’s list.
Top Places to Work recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state voted on by the people who know them the best—their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more.
Within the medium-sized employer category, Salsify was the top-ranked software company, and 10th best overall workplace in the state - up from 18th place in 2017.
Salsify’s product experience management (PXM) platform is used by an increasing number of globally-recognized brand manufacturers, including 3M, L’Oréal Group, Fruit of the Loom, and Coca-Cola. The company’s software enables brands deliver compelling shopping experiences across every digital touchpoint – directly addressing the realities of modern commerce. This exciting market environment, great product, accelerating growth trajectory, and a deeply supportive workplace culture is what makes Salsify a top place to work.
“Ever since Salsify was founded back in 2012, the leadership team and I have focused on building a software product and company that was going to be successful over the long term. Central to that goal is fostering a workplace that every employee should feel proud to be a part of,” said Jason Purcell, CEO of Salsify. “Beyond a beautiful new office and perks like two-month fully paid parental leave, it’s been even better to throw our support behind employee-founded efforts, like the Guppy Tank program with Boston Public Schools, and hosting Toastmasters programs. It’s great to see that we’re providing an amazing place to work for our employees so they can continue doing incredible work for our customers.”
“Making employees happy doesn't have to take a lot of effort or money, but it does require companies to put workers first," said Katie Johnston, the Globes Top Places to Work editor. "Our winning companies know that their people are their most valuable assets."
The rankings in the Top Places to Work are based on confidential survey information collected by Energage (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from nearly 82,151 individuals at 318 Massachusetts organizations. The winners share a few key traits, including offering progressive benefits, giving their employees a voice, and encouraging them to have some fun while they’re at it.
