Four Roses Bourbon is a leading producer of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, offering a range of core, small batch, and single barrel products produced using two mash bills and five proprietary yeast strains. This unique combination yields distinctive flavor profiles with notes of ripe fruit, spice, honey, and vanilla.
Four Roses Bourbon, a leading producer of Kentucky straight whiskey, sought to optimize its digital shelf performance by creating more consistent product experiences across retailers and decreasing time-to-market.
“We work in an industry where it can be hard to differentiate your product,” says Ellen Redmon, trade marketing specialist at Four Roses. “Our brand story and our unique tasting profiles are the best way to catch a shopper’s attention and create an experience to meet their moment.”
The team faced several challenges when creating these special experiences for their customers, including manual data management processes that were slow and led to human error.
“Our data was managed in spreadsheets, and every retailer needs a different set of data, down to how UPC codes are formatted,” Redmon says. “Our process to get them this information and to get our products listed online was slow and error-prone. We needed better operations to really capitalize on the digital shelf opportunity.”

After evaluating several vendors, Four Roses selected Salsify to optimize its product data management (PDM) processes.

Using Salsify, Four Roses has achieved significant improvements in compliance and speed.
“We’ve improved to 100% content compliance with our key retail partners and 85% faster syndication times, which means we can spend more time selling and less time working,” Redmon says.
She also emphasized that new product launches are now much more efficient: “With Salsify, we can ensure that content is ready and in the retailers’ systems at the same time new inventory arrives. Previously, the retailers would have inventory but no content, so we lost selling time.”
