    Deprecation Notice: Salsify’s legacy digital catalog solution “Classic Catalogs” (found in the Salsify Platform under Activation > Catalog Sites > Classic Catalogs) will begin a deprecation period in July 2026. Starting July 1, 2026, the creation of new Classic Catalogs will no longer be supported. Starting January 1, 2027, Classic Catalogs will no longer be available for use and all live Classic Catalogs will be processed to be disabled.

    PXM Advance Add-ons

    Enables the creation of digital catalog sites for sharing read-only access to product data stored in Salsify. Up to 2,000 Catalog Sites Page Views*

     Enhanced Content Enables the building and publishing of enhanced content layouts to digital shelf endpoints, including Customer’s own digital shelf endpoint(s). Enhanced content is also referred to as below-the-fold content, A+ content, or rich media. Up to 3 Enhanced Content Destinations*
     GDSN Enables the management of logistics and ecommerce data according to GS1 data standards and publishing the data through a Salsify embedded GDSN data pool to the GS1 Global Data Synchronisation Network (GS1 GDSN®). Includes Catalog Item Confirmation (CIC) feedback with AI-powered suggestions. GDSN licenses require GDSN Support. Unlimited GLNs located in Salsify-supported GDSN countries within Region(s) specified in the Order Form

    • Ongoing addition, editing and deleting of essential data structures such as:
      • Records: individual product entries
      • Properties: attributes describing products
      • Computed properties: dynamically calculated attributes
      • Property groups: logical grouping of related properties
      • Data validation: rules ensuring data accuracy and completeness
      • Workflows: automated processes for data management
      • Taxonomy iterations: development and refinement of product categorization systems
      • Inheritance modeling: defining how properties are inherited across product hierarchies
      • Lists: controlled vocabularies for standardized data entry

    • Support for existing items in the retailer portal
    • Support for syndication to the retailer portal via Salsify direct connections, Templated Exports, and Custom Readiness Reports
    • Content or asset creation, curation, clean-up, or translation
    • Engineering work or integration development
    • Deployment of Enhanced Content
    • GDSN Support

    • Quarterly prompt maintenance to ensure outputs remain high-quality as model logic evolves, up to licenced word limit
    • Monitor AI output quality to identify and remediate performance "drift" over time
    • Recurrent maintenance of prompt logic or structure (e.g., updating input/output properties or translating content for additional locales)
    • Maintenance of workflow context for 1 reference entity (records and/or digital assets like PDFs)

    Tasks included for Custom Workflows:

    • All tasks included with Standard Workflows, plus …
    • Maintenance of workflow context requiring multiple reference entities (records and/or digital assets like PDFs)
    • Ongoing management to ensure workflows remain aligned with specific business needs, including multiple properties, locales, and specific product category logic
    • Support for workflows utilizing dynamic data and extensive conditional logic based on product characteristics or taxonomy
    • Auditing of current customer processes to identify additional "manual-heavy" steps suitable for AI automation
    • Priority positioning for the customer to pilot and provide feedback on new Intelligence Suite features

    Not included:

    • Setup of non-IS auxiliary workflows or task steps
    • Custom engineering work or development of integrations outside the Salsify platform
    • Support for data stored on platforms or systems external to Salsify
    • Original content or digital asset creation/refresh (Managed Service manages the workflow that generates content, not the creation of the content itself)
    • Deep-dive auditing of PIM or Digital Asset data
    • Support for any process or feature not directly related to IS workflows

    Customer Responsibilities (if using Salsify LLMs):

    • Provide comprehensive visual diagrams or process maps of the current manual business process and the desired automated end-to-state, including all logical branching and conditional dependencies
    • Provide the necessary data and digital assets needed for the workflow to function
    • Provide the underlying business rules, product category logic, and taxonomy requirements upon which the AI prompts and workflows are based
    • Appoint an internal stakeholder to coordinate with the Salsify Managed Services team and communicate task prioritization
    • Review and provide timely approval for planned workflow adjustments

    Salsify Managed Service Delivery Standards: Salsify’s Business Hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM in the Customer’s local timezone (US only), during weekdays (Monday through Friday), excluding holidays.

    General Definitions

    Add-ons Salsify Software Solutions that leverage and run off of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform to provide Customer with additional features and functionality.
    Entitlement Specific allowances licensed by Customer, tied to functionality within the Salsify PXM Advance Platform or Add-ons. Each entitlement is classified as a Configuration Entitlement, a Monthly Entitlement, Rolling 3 Month Entitlement, or a Yearly Entitlement to specify how entitlement license compliance is determined.
    Configuration Entitlement Entitlements with an allowance based on the configuration of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform or Add-ons. Customer’s actual configuration cannot exceed the amount of the Configuration Entitlement licensed.
    Monthly Entitlement Entitlements with an allowance based on usage of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform or Add-ons within a calendar month. Salsify measures usage against a Monthly Entitlement as the monthly average of the most recent three complete calendar months. Customer's average monthly usage over the most recent three months cannot exceed the amount of the Monthly Entitlement licensed by Customer.
    Rolling 3 Month Entitlement Entitlements with an allowance based on usage of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform or Add-ons over three consecutive completed calendar months. Salsify measures usage against a Rolling 3 Month Entitlement as the total usage over the most recent three complete calendar months of Customer’s subscription. A Customer's total usage over the most recent three months cannot exceed the amount of the Rolling 3 Month Entitlement licensed by the Customer.
    Yearly Entitlement Entitlements with an allowance based on usage of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform or Add-ons over a one-year period of Customer's subscription. Customer's total usage over a one-year period of Customer's subscription cannot exceed the amount of the Yearly Entitlement licensed by Customer. For subscription periods of less than one year ("partial year"), Customer's total usage over the partial year cannot exceed the prorated amount of the Yearly Entitlement licensed by Customer.
    Salsify Licensing Unit (SLU) The unit within a company by which Salsify licenses the Platform. An SLU represents a distinct company business unit, business segment, product category, brand category, or brand for which product data will be managed in the Salsify Platform. Except as otherwise stated in an Order Form, the Salsify products included in an Order Form are licensed on an SLU by SLU basis, and may only be used with Records and Digital Assets corresponding to the SLUs for which they are licensed.  Numeric entitlements (e.g., number of Users, Catalog Sites Page Views) are pooled and shared among SLUs that have licensed a product that uses such entitlement.

    Entitlement Definitions

    Entitlement Definition Entitlement Type
     Asset Bandwidth The amount of data, in GB, transmitted from Salsify’s Content Delivery Network (CDN) to any internet channel.

    Note: A CDN provides highly available and performant access to your Salsify Digital Assets (media files) to end-users across the internet using a geographically distributed network of servers. Salsify's CDN also provides Digital Asset transformation capabilities. Salsify's CDN offering is through a third-party partner.
    Monthly Entitlement
     Asset Storage The size, measured in GB, of all Digital Assets that Customer has stored in the Platform. Configuration Entitlement
     Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Channel Endpoints Third-party retailer, marketplace (including search-based marketplaces), social commerce, or AI / agentic commerce destinations not owned or managed by the Customer, that sell or market the Customer’s products directly to individual end-consumers. Configuration Entitlement
     Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Channel Endpoints Destinations owned or managed directly by the Customer, where the Customer sells or markets its own products directly to the individual end-consumer or other businesses (companies, organizations, government agencies, non-profits), bypassing any third-party retailer, marketplace, or wholesale intermediaries. Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) destinations include, but are not limited to, Shopify, BigCommerce, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud storefronts. Configuration Entitlement
     Business-to-Business (B2B) Channel Endpoints Destinations not owned or managed by the Customer, that sell or market the Customer’s products exclusively to other businesses (companies, organizations, government agencies, non-profits) rather than to individual end-consumers.      Catalog Sites Page Views A Catalog Sites Page View is an occurrence of a page being loaded (or reloaded) in a browser when someone visits a published Catalog Sites URL. Monthly Entitlement
     Completed Intelligence Suite Tasks The number of Intelligence Suite automated workflow tasks completed. Rolling 3 Month Entitlement
     Custom Integration Any custom application, transformation, or integration service developed by Salsify on behalf of Customer. Custom integrations can be inbound or outbound extensions of the Salsify PXM platform, in order to programmatically connect to Customer’s source systems and/or destination endpoints. Configuration Entitlement
     Custom Readiness Report A Custom Readiness Report helps Customer assess the completeness and suitability of product data for distribution, through export channels beyond Salsify’s standard retailer connections and partnerships. Custom Readiness Reports are configured by Salsify upon Customer request and are built based on specific templates and information provided by Customer.

    Self-Service Custom Readiness Reports, or update requests to existing Reports, will not count against the Entitlement quantity.
    Yearly Entitlement
     Digital Shelf

    A Digital Shelf is a channel endpoint such as a retailer or marketplace. Configuration Entitlement
     Digital Shelf Tier
     (Managed Service Products only)
    A Digital Shelf Tier is a grouping of digital shelves or channel endpoints, such as retailers or marketplaces.

    A Digital shelf is assigned to a tier based on the syndication complexity of new item setup or product content refresh for the digital shelf.  If there is a significant increase in any digital shelf’s syndication complexity, Salsify may modify its tier by providing 30 days’ prior notice to Customers.

    Dynamic Permissions Policies The number of security policies configured in the Platform. Customer can use security policies to restrict Salsify Users' access to products and assets based on the values of specific properties as well as to restrict Salsify Users' access to specific locales.      Enhanced Content Destination A distinct shopper destination (as defined by a unique domain name) that is the target of below-the-fold enhanced content publication. Configuration Entitlement
     GLN A Global Location Number (GLN) is a unique number that is assigned to locations to enable them to be identified uniquely worldwide. These GLNs can be used to identify any legal, physical and functional locations.  Configuration Entitlement
     GTIN A distinct product, as determined by having a distinct Global Trade Item Number, that completes the Grocery Accelerator’s content quality workflows or Kroger direct connection post-publish content validations.
    Yearly Entitlement

     Locale A distinct language for which multilingual content can be stored by utilizing localized properties. Configuration Entitlement

     Production Instance Any part of Customer’s instance of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform that is a live environment for users to use, as opposed to, for example, a test environment. Configuration Entitlement
     Record A uniquely-identifiable record stored in the Salsify PXM Advance Platform, including product (i.e SKU, GTIN, UPC) and non-product (i.e brand, swatch, affiliate, brand ambassador) records. Records exclude Digital Assets. 
    In the case of records in a hierarchy, the records at each level of the hierarchy are counted separately. Multiple records identifying the same underlying product or non-product entity in the same Production or Non-production Instance are counted separately.
    Configuration Entitlement
     Region A group of countries in which channel destinations (B2C Channel Destinations, D2C Channel Destinations, B2B Channel Destinations) or GLNs are physically or digitally located.

    Configuration Entitlement
     Retailer Portal A secure, proprietary, web-based interface owned and operated by a specific retailer, which enables its approved vendors, manufacturers, or third-party sellers to manage the operational and commercial aspects of their business relationship with the retailer. The primary purpose of a Retailer Portal is the submission, management, and exchange of data related to product listings, inventory, sales, and logistics. Configuration Entitlement
     Sites
     (Digital Shelf Analytics Products)
    An individual website domain that is monitored by a Salsify Digital Shelf Analytics product for the purpose of generating Digital Shelf Analytics Buy Box or Share of Search reports. In cases where one retailer website has multiple URLs, the number of Sites is equivalent to the number of distinct URLs. For example, walmart.com, marketplace.walmart.com, and grocery.walmart.com count as 3 Sites. Configuration Entitlement
     User User means each of Customer’s employees, agents, and independent contractors who are authorized with access to the Salsify PXM Advance Platform.
    Each User’s license is intended solely for such User and cannot be shared or used by any other individual, provided that it may be reassigned to a new User replacing the previous User if the previous User terminates its employment with Customer, changes job status or function, or otherwise no longer requires use of the Salsify PXM Advance Platform. For avoidance of doubt, each User license includes access to all of Customer’s Production Instances and Non-production Instances.
