DownloadProduct review moderation is the process of managing and evaluating customers' product reviews to ensure they're accurate and align with brand values.
Since today's customers highly value insights from trusted sources and other shoppers, product reviews are incredibly valuable to a brand or retailer. But if those reviews don't align with the brand's core values or represent the brand poorly, they can end up being detrimental to the brand's bottom line.
Product review moderation is the process of managing reviews to ensure these situations don't happen. It isn't about removing poor product reviews, but, rather, addressing reviews that include value-misaligned language, inaccurate information, or non-compliant language.
Product review moderation also involves engaging with both positive and negative reviews. When a brand demonstrates that they care about their customers' product experiences — good or bad — they're more likely to build trust and loyalty with those customers.
