The following definitions and entitlements shall apply if, and to the extent, purchased by Customer on an Order:
Salsify’s CommerceXM Core Platform provides the Customer with the baseline level of product data storage and management capabilities. All customers must purchase the CommerceXM Core Platform as it serves as the foundation on which all other Salsify solutions are built.
Key platform capabilities include:
CommerceXM Enterprise Services is an optional add-on to expand the capabilities of the Commerce XM Core Platform, typically used in Product Information Management (“PIM”) use cases. It incorporates additional data modeling functionality that lets brands add structure, relationships, and validations to product content.
Enables Customer to syndicate product content (stored in CommerceXM Core Platform) to digital shelf endpoints, such as retailers and marketplaces
Standardized product content data pool that any brand can publish data to and any retailer can pull data from
Solution for building and publishing enhanced content layouts to digital shelf endpoints
Suite of digital shelf analytics reports that collect data from retail endpoints for Customer to measure and optimize product page performance
Each Automated Insights Digital Shelf Module contains three reports and each module is purchased separately.
Enables Customer to syndicate product content (stored in CommerceXM Core Platform) to brand owned digital shelf endpoints, such as brand direct-to-consumer (DTC) or business-to-business (B2B) websites, including:
A tool that allows users to manage logistical data according to GS1 data standards and publish it through a Salsify integrated GDSN data pool to the GDSN network. Salsify’s data pool is a GS1 Certified Data Pool that provides brands the ability to synchronize logistics and e-commerce content across a global network of participating GDSN recipients.
Salsify Sites & Experiences enables the creation of out-of-the-box, B2B, or B2E focused site experiences.
A centralized commerce hub for Customer to manage products, inventory, and orders across supported marketplaces, social platforms, and ecommerce platforms. Functionality included with Salsify Orders & Inventory:
This module includes product content syndication using direct connections that support inventory and order integration. * (Note: ecommerce platforms require an additional subscription for the product feed via the Salsify DTC product). These endpoints do NOT count against a company’s allotment of digital shelves.
Note: A subscription for Salsify Orders & Inventory also requires Customer to purchase the proportionate level of entitlements to orders (the number of orders expected to be processed by Salsify annually).
Syndication access to the exclusive SKUlibrary retailer network from SKUvantage. These retailers are in Australia/New Zealand.
Salsify User means each of Customer’s employees, agents, and independent contractors who are authorized with access to the Platform.
Each Salsify User’s license is intended solely for such Salsify User and cannot be shared or used by any other individual, provided that it may be reassigned to a new Salsify User replacing the previous Salsify User if the previous Salsify User terminates its employment Customer, changes job status or function, or otherwise no longer requires use of the Platform.
For avoidance of doubt, the aggregate number of Salsify Users accessing and using the Platform at any time shall never exceed that aggregate amount of Salsify User licenses purchased by Customer.
Any part of the Customer’s instance of the CommerceXM Platform that is a live environment in operational use, as opposed to, for example, a test environment.
An additional Salsify environment beyond production (e.g. Staging, Sandbox, QA, etc.)
An individual record stored in the Salsify platform, including product (i.e SKU, GTIN, UPC) and non-product (i.e brand, swatch, affiliate, brand ambassador) records. Records exclude Digital Assets. Record entitlements apply to both production and non-production instances.
In the case of records in a hierarchy, the records at each level of the hierarchy are counted separately. Records representing the same product or other entity in two or more Salsify instances are counted separately.
Any content that is stored digitally in the Platform, including images, videos, comparison charts, photos, logos, and brand guides. Digital Asset entitlements apply to both production and non-production instances. Digital Assets representing the same content stored multiple times in one or more Salsify instances are counted separately.
The size, measured in gigabytes, of all digital assets that a Customer has stored in the Platform. Asset Storage entitlements apply to both production and non-production instances.
The monthly amount of data, in gigabytes, transmitted from Salsify’s content delivery network (CDN) to any internet channel. Asset Bandwidth entitlements apply to data stored in both production and non-production instances.
A digital shelf is a distinct, shopper destination (as defined by a unique domain name) with a specific selling model (1P, 3P, D2C, or listing only). This includes third-party intermediaries that pass-through a brand's content to shopper destinations.
Digital shelves form the core entitlement that scales pricing for many of our products. The definition of a Digital Shelf is the same for all of these (above), though the specifics of the entitlement meaning vary from product to product as described below.
Number of Digital Shelves that are the target of above-the-fold content syndication. 1 Digital Shelf license entitlement is consumed when a customer has 1 or more channels configured in at least 1 of their Salsify instances that is used to syndicate content to a particular Digital Shelf.
Number of Digital Shelves that are the target of below-the-fold enhanced content publication. 1 Digital Shelf license entitlement is consumed when a customer has an Enhanced Content destination configured in at least 1 of their Salsify instances that is used to publish Enhanced Content to a particular Digital Shelf.
Number of Digital Shelves for which Salsify is producing Content reports plus Number of Digital Shelves for which Salsify is producing Buy Box reports.
1 Digital Shelf license entitlement is consumed when a customer has 1 or more channels configured in at least 1 of their Salsify instances that is used to generate any of our Content reports for a particular Digital Shelf.
1 Digital Shelf license entitlement is also consumed when a customer has 1 or more channels configured in at least 1 of their Salsify instances that is used to generate any of our Buy Box reports for a particular Digital Shelf.
1 Digital Shelf license entitlement is consumed when a customer syndicates product content to a particular direct-to-consumer domain.
1 global location network entitlement allows a user to syndicate GS1 content through 1 or more channels to target the GDSN destination identified by the GLN.
A Page View is an occurrence of a page being loaded (or reloaded) in a browser when someone visits a published Site or Catalog URL. One entitlement includes 10,000 Page Views for Salsify Sites and/or Classic Catalogs, and can be increased in blocks of 10,000 Page Views.
Any new order brought into the platform by an Orders & Inventory connection. An order is defined as a single transaction of a customer purchase with a single 'Order ID' from the point of sale.
The uppermost entity within a corporate hierarchy.
The unit within a company by which Salsify licenses its Solutions. An SLU is the intersection of :
The parties shall work in good faith to agree on the SLUs as part of the sales process.

By default, a country. Countries may be consolidated into regions if reflective of the company’s organizational structure.
The Pricing Tier dictates a Customer's pricing for the CommerceXM Core Platform, Enterprise Services, Modules, and Entitlements, as set forth on the Order. Salsify defines its Pricing Tiers based on a range of total net sales of the Ultimate Parent Company, and each SLU, as detailed in the table below.
