    Türkiye’s first and largest producer and exporter of ceramic sanitary ware, Eczacıbaşı Building Products, began producing VitrA-branded ceramic sanitary ware in 1958; faucets in 1983; bathroom furniture, bathtubs, and shower trays in 1991; and bathroom accessories in 1995.

    Its plant in Bozüyük, Türkiye, is one of the world’s largest under one roof, with a production capacity of 5.6 million units per year. The company designs many of these products in-house and collaborates with renowned international designers and studios.

    The international sales network serves approximately 21,000 retail sales points — including sub-dealers — and 150 exclusive showrooms in major international markets.

    VitrA faced challenges in managing and distributing its “product launch kits,” a catalog that aggregates product data and images. The reliance on Excel spreadsheets to create these kits and dispersed data ownership across the VitrA teams created bottlenecks and increased the risk of outdated or incomplete information being included.

    For example, without a data governance process in place, product codes could be added to the launch kits before items were fully ready to sell, which risked the sharing of incorrect or non-orderable information with customers.

    VitrA, already a Salsify Product Experience Management (PXM) customer, decided to adopt the Salsify Catalog Sites solution to automate the product launch kit process.

    Now, the launch kits are automatically generated and can only be shared after an “approver” confirms that the product data has been finalized and is ready for use, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    VitrA also updated its user permissions to allow sales teams to access real-time, digital launch kits directly via Salsify links, eliminating the need to share any Excel files manually.

    Decentralized content ownership was also established, with each team now responsible for uploading and maintaining their content directly in Salsify, streamlining the process and clarifying data ownership.

    Finally, any product data updates are made directly in Salsify by the appropriate teams, significantly reducing the risk of outdated or missed information.
