Written by Salsify | Aug 14, 2026, 4:07:42 PM

Congratulations to Salsify’s 2026 Digital Shelf Transformer Award winners! Presented at the Digital Shelf Summit (DSS), the awards celebrate organizations that are demonstrating what modern digital shelf excellence looks like in practice.

Here’s an overview of this year's Digital Shelf Transformer Award winners:

  • Ultimate Products: Leveraged Salsify for 9,000 annual hours saved, increased Amazon sales by £2.2 million, and expanded in the EU.
  • Kerry Group: Achieved a 113% increase in PDP traffic (13.7 million views) and 38% sales growth.
  • Kids2: Cut manual labor by 80% and reached 96% content completeness via AI integration.
  • Wells Lamont LLC: Achieved 100% attribute accuracy and completeness through a centralized PIM system.

If you’ve been following Salsify customer stories this year, you may already recognize a few of these names. Salsify has published a few deeper case studies, exploring how they’re using product data, automation, and AI to reshape operations.

This article explores what set this year’s winners apart: what they have in common, how they’re changing the way product information flows through their organizations, and why the judges took notice.

Even without sitting in on the judging, it’s easy to see what stood out. When you think about the manual workflows that once sat underneath this work, it’s clear how far the operating model has evolved.

Let’s dive in and explore the winners, how they’ve reshaped the way product content works inside their businesses, and the clear results on the digital shelf.

🏆 Ultimate Products

Category won: Exceptional business transformation through high-impact new processes or digital shelf experiences

Why they won: Turning operational complexity into scalable execution

In a full-length case study earlier this year, Ben Gilmore, senior process developer at Ultimate Products and a key leader behind the company's Salsify implementation, left us with a cliffhanger:

“Intelligence Suite turned our biggest operational bottleneck into our greatest competitive advantage

Maybe you read that case study and found yourself asking a few things:

  • How bad was the bottleneck?
  • What changed inside the business?
  • What did the team actually do to fix things?

Before turning to Salsify, the Ultimate Products team had product data, content, and localization spread across dozens of spreadsheets and systems. This manual workflow supported thousands of SKUs across nine countries and multiple languages. As the business expanded, the same updates were being repeated across teams and tools just to keep product listings accurate.

The structure worked in the sense that it functioned, but it didn’t scale cleanly. Every new product line or market added friction to processes that were already manual.

When Salsify became the central system for product information, teams began restructuring how work moved through it. Instead of passing files between disconnected tools and teams, product content followed defined workflows from creation through review and distribution.

Salsify Intelligence Suite added another layer to that structure. Teams began generating first-draft product copy, translations, and alt text using AI, with outputs routed directly into workflows for human review rather than manual creation from scratch.

The result was a system that absorbed complexity without requiring the same increase in manual effort.

Here’s an overview of the impact:

  • In Q4 2025 alone, the company ran 4.4 million automated workflow tasks, saving an estimated 9,000 working hours per year.
  • That time savings translates directly to nearly £200,000 in annual cost savings.
  • With an AI-driven content process, Ultimate Products realized an 11% year-over-year increase in Amazon conversion rates, even during periods of lower overall traffic.
  • This content-driven uplift generated an estimated £2.2 million increase in incremental Amazon sales.

Commenting on the Digital Shelf Transformer Award, Chris Dent, Ultimate Products' chief financial officer, said:

"We are delighted to be recognized by Salsify, particularly alongside a select group of global companies many times our size. This is a credit to the team, led by our Process Development Director Tony Pole, who have built and embedded these systems day in, day out. This work is rarely visible externally, and it is brilliant to see it recognized. It is genuinely exciting to see how the team are using Salsify to enhance productivity across our commercial functions, and the strong platform this gives us to build from.”

🏆 Kerry Group

Category won: Measurable Digital Shelf Performance improvements (SEO, conversion, quality scores, etc.)

Why they won: Removing friction from the final mile to market

In a full-length case study earlier this year, Kerry Group’s director of performance marketing for its brands team, Liam Bucher, described Salsify Intelligence Suite in a way that stood out:

“Intelligence Suite feels like a partner.”

Some readers may ask, “Well, what did they change in the day-to-day process for a tool to feel like that?”

And the answer to that question is about manual processes and final product readiness.

For example, nutritional and packaging information arrived in unstructured formats, most commonly PDFs. This information needed to be entered manually before a product could go live. That step typically took 20–30 minutes per product.

As you can imagine, the process scaled poorly across global catalogs.

With Salsify Intelligence Suite embedded into existing workflows, that work changed structure. Intelligence Suite allowed the team to extract structured data directly from source files and move into validation, rather than starting with manual entry.

According to Bucher, it became a complete differentiator in the market.

“Our team was spending 20–30 minutes validating information for just one product; now we can do that in five minutes,” he says. “We were able to set up a product from scratch in one day; without Intelligence Suite, that would have taken several days. This solution encapsulates Salsify’s willingness to listen to customers and make our lives easier.”Kerry Group won a Digital Shelf Transformer Award for removing friction from the final mile to market, and the results show up clearly in digital shelf performance:

  • 113% increase in PDP traffic (13.7 million views)
  • 38% sales growth driven by cleaner data and improved ad efficiency
  • Faster product setup and reduced page build time
  • Fewer issues caused by inconsistent product information

Bucher also reflects on the rollout: “Honestly, I haven’t experienced a better SaaS platform migration.”

🏆 Kids2

Category winner: Efficiency gains achieved through a project of continuous improvement of your PXM process

Why they won: Connecting product data directly to sales execution

Kids2 operates across more than 90 countries with brands including Baby Einstein, Bright Starts, and Ingenuity. The sales operations challenge was straightforward but persistent: product information changed frequently, and every change triggered manual updates to sell sheets across PowerPoint files and templates.

SKU details, ship dates, and features were updated in one place, then manually rebuilt elsewhere. The result was constant rework, version control challenges, and delays in getting updated materials to retail partners.

“We want our salespeople to be selling, not be data analysts,” says Dawn Powell, former manager of ecommerce at Kids2.To address this, Kids2 connected Salsify with automated creative tooling from It’sRapid. Product data stored in Salsify now flows directly into branded templates that generate sell sheets automatically and refresh when data changes.

Here’s an overview of the impact:

  • More than 50,000 hours saved annually
  • Real-time updates to sell sheets across SKUs and brands
  • Faster delivery of updated product information to retail partners
  • Consistent, on-brand materials generated from a single source of truth

Kids2 won a Digital Shelf Transformer Award for turning all of that product data into sales-ready materials at scale. What used to be a repetitive, time-consuming document production process became a data-driven output layer tied directly to product information.

🏆 Wells Lamont

Category winner: Efficiency gains achieved through an initial Salsify platform implementation

Why they won: Building trust in product data at scale

Wells Lamont, the 100-year-old glove and protective wear leader, admits they’ve been stubborn about quality since 1907. But in the modern era, maintaining this philosophy means ensuring they’re delivering high-quality products and data integrity across every corner of the digital shelf.

As product catalogs expanded and moved across systems and retailers, inconsistencies in attribute data created confusion in listings and downstream issues, including rework and chargebacks.

"I stepped into my role at Wells Lamont just a little over a year ago and immediately saw the need and use case for Salsify,” says Ashley DiPalma, senior director of ecommerce at Wells Lamont.

“While there was hesitancy at first in adding another tool to our stack, the drastic improvement in efficiency, time savings, and data confidence was quickly recognized as a massive value by our leadership as we continue to scale our business across both brick-and-mortar and online channels.”

DiPalma championed the implementation of Salsify PXM. From there, Wells Lamont rapidly deployed a comprehensive suite of Salsify modules to automate data control and maximize velocity:

  • Salsify PIM: Centralized all product data into Salsify’s PIM with relevant hierarchies and data models.
  • Direct & Custom Channels: Established direct API connections to primary retail giants like Amazon and Walmart, while leveraging Salsify’s custom channels to seamlessly deliver data to retail partners who don’t have direct connections, reducing the team’s dependency on spreadsheets.
  • Salsify Workflows: Established AI-powered workflows to proactively find content gaps, test new item additions, and ensure every data update is vetted and tracked.
  • Catalog Sites: Leveraged Salsify Catalog Sites to share digital assets with external agencies, while allowing internal and external stakeholders to access data without needing full platform access.

The company cites several impressive wins, including a massive boost in team morale.

“This shift completely transformed daily operations for item set-up, content deployment and asset management. We finally got different departments talking to each other,” DiPalma says.

“Critically, it also helped our relationships with retail partners.” By moving away from manual spreadsheets and embracing automated data governance, Wells Lamont earned the prestigious 2026 Digital Shelf Transformer Award for operational efficiency.

Congrats, 2026 Digital Shelf Transformer Award Winners!

Looking across all four winners, one theme stands out: They each found better ways to move product information through their organizations. Whether through automation, AI, centralized governance, or smarter workflows, each team transformed product content from a manual process into a business advantage.

That work matters more than ever. In the new era of agentic commerce, structured, high-quality product data is what ensures AI systems don’t have to guess about your products.

As consumer expectations shift and AI becomes more embedded in how products are discovered, a brand’s ability to maintain clean product information becomes foundational.
