Introducing our Expanded Platform for Product Content Management

Written by Josh Mendelsohn | 11:00 AM on June 1, 2016

Today we’re celebrating the launch of our unified product content management (PCM) platform. Salsify users now have an efficient way to create, manage, optimize, and syndicate the impactful content that is driving sales - from one, easy-to-use content hub.

When we set out to transform product content management from an administrative burden to a driver of new revenue, we knew it could not be solved with a set of point solutions. Standing out to today’s digital consumer across every touch point for every sales channel - desktop, mobile, search, and the in-store experience - requires intense stakeholder coordination around robust digital content that just isn’t possible with a traditional PIM or DAM system.

Our newly expanded PCM platform was built specifically to enable stakeholders from all parts of your company - marketing, product, sales, ecommerce, IT - to play their part in ensuring your product content is accurate and ready for every consumer touch point.

Here are the nuts and bolts of each element that our product content management platform includes:

  • Product Information Management, which improves the accuracy of product content by making it possible to create, manage, and collaborate on the data in a single, trusted location that is easily accessible and useable by all your internal stakeholders
  • Digital Asset Management to empower your organization to centralize and transform images, videos, and other files for use across ecommerce, marketing, sales, and product teams
  • Product Content Syndication which enables your ecommerce teams to prepare and deliver product content to every endpoint, with built-in requirements for hundreds of retailers including Walmart, Google, Amazon, and Jet.com
  • Digital Product Catalogs to provide sales teams and long tail retailers with the information they need to sell your products

Additionally, our engineering teams have designed the platform with enterprise-scale security, including single sign-on, data encryption, and user permissioning down to the field level.

The Salsify PCM platform is already supporting 8 million products on the digital shelf. As you work to discover the best ways of organizing your company’s people and processes around your product content, we hope this unified approach helps you put it all together and sell more effectively.

If you’re going to be at IRCE, we will be showing off the full platform at Booth 1567. Make an appointment for a demo, or just stop by!
