Day two of the Digital Shelf Summit delivered thoughtful conversations and best practices for navigating agentic commerce.
“Agentic is everywhere,” as Garrett Schneider, enterprise architect at Salsify, aptly said during a Monday Salsify Academy session.
That sentiment rang especially true on day two of Summit, with mainstage keynotes and breakout sessions dedicated to agentic commerce and adapting to rapidly changing AI advancements.
Tuesday concluded with the Digital Shelf Summit event, sponsored by the Acosta Group, filled with lively discussions — and singing.
A dueling piano moment, sponsored by WPP Enterprise Solutions, and a karaoke party lounge, sponsored by Profitero, firstmovr, and ProductWind, ensured that day two ended on a literal high note.
Miss out on a session you wanted to attend today? We’ve got you covered. Here’s the agentic wisdom some of our speakers imparted on attendees.
Does implementing AI intimidate you? During the breakout session “Reimagining Your Workflows in the Age of AI,” Theresa Maher, manager of data optimization & product information management at Conagra, reminds us to start small.
“We’re all still learning, and we need to recognize that we’re learning. It’s okay to start small,” she says.
Adriana Vaca, digital shelf manager at CJ Schwan’s, underscores the importance of the human touch in building AI trust. “AI wants to be trusted and loves using authentic feedback,” she says.
Kevin Creese, director of ecommerce at Wastequip, uses AI to free up bandwidth for his small team: “We’re a team of three. We had no choice than to optimize how we work … We created our own flavor of how we want to use AI to help us open up more bandwidth.”
Essentially, remember to start small, keep humans in the loop, and use AI to your advantage.

2026 DSS attendees listened in on agentic commerce day sessions
While consumers still have mixed feelings about AI usage and agentic commerce, they’re definitely warming up to it — and they’re looking to their favorite brands and retailers to keep pace.
According to Salsify’s upcoming “2026 Holiday Pulse Report,” dropping this June:
Authority is the foundation for every shelf. Whether you’re optimizing for holiday shoppers or the everyday consumer journey, don’t miss this opportunity to capture consumers’ growing interest in agentic commerce.
After all, your brand must be the recommendation the machine trusts — or it risks becoming invisible.”
In this new arena of agentic commerce, providing structured, high-quality data is how you ensure the machine never has to guess about your product.
If you don’t have the tools in place to shift with consumers’ growing AI demands, you’ll be left behind. Intelligence Suite is built to help you scale your impact with AI.
Liam Bucher, director of performance marketing at Kerry Group (winner of a Digital Shelf Transformer Award), shared how Intelligence Suite has enabled increased optimization and reduced manual labor in the session, “Reimagining Your Workflows in the Age of AI.”
“The introduction of Intelligence Suite last year helped us accelerate our readiness and process optimization. Instead of spending 45 minutes checking nutritional information, we’re pushing that through Intelligence Suite to review in a matter of minutes,” Bucher says.
